Moroccan 1 Franc Coin Pendant

Here's a 1950's "1 Franc" coin from Morocco, which has been roughly pierced for use in Tribal Jewellery. Finally it has become detached, then found and retrieved by us to be mounted in Indonesia, with a very simple plain Sterling Silver bale for easy wear.

On one side you have a five pointed star with "Empire Cherifien" across the top on the other "1 Franc" in an eight pointed star with flowing script and flourishes.

It's the clean simplicity of this piece that appeals most to me, the silver contrasting well with the fine detailing of the actual coin.

If you're desperate to polish this piece  then gently use a dry cloth if you want more shine then try a Silver Polishing Cloth.

But I personally doubt it will need any polishing for a long time.

The sterling silver suspension ring measures 5 x 7 mm and will take a chain or cord comfortably.

If you like we'll pop it onto an adjustable black cotton cord, which is preferable to leather both for strength and wear.

We may also have a similar version using a "50 Centime" coin, see MC106.
