Pakistan, Folding Carved Wooden Koran Stand

Carved dark wooden folding, “X” shaped, Koran holder "rehal".
Will of course appeal to all bibliophiles, as both it’s function and decorative qualities, allow you to display texts open for viewing.
One piece of wood sliced into two, lengthwise, with “comblike” interlocking supports, allowing it to fold flat or out into an “X” (interlock the fingers of your two hands, and move them up and down.)
Complex decorative carving, open work and stamped patterning with many borders.
Two of the ends are carved like Mihrabs (Prayer niches as seen in rugs/mosques.)
Similar to KS 003 but more decorative and lighter/lacier with an old dull, dustier feel to the wood, which is characteristic of older pieces from the Swat Valley.
No obvious damage (a couple of acceptable, old, minor scratches) and one old finely spliced and glued repair, on one corner (7.5cm x 4.5cm.)
You can happily use a little plain furniture wax, to feed the wood, then buff with a dry cloth.
