Nepalese Turquoise & Coral Ring

Sorry, this Coral Ring is no longer available. But you may want to check the other Nepalese Rings we have.

This shieldlike silver ring with Tibetan foliage chased into it surrounding a raised central Red Coral and flanked by two panels of tiny Turquoise chip mosaic. The swirling engraved ring itself is fairly wide tapering down to a centimetre at its narrowest.

I'd suggest this is probably a dress ring, for more special occasions, it's very dramatic on the finger. However, the points may not allow continuous wear, as they may catch on things if you're doing practical work.  I wouldn't dream of washing in it or washing up. (in it, either.)

An occcasional gentle polish with a dry Silver Polishing Cloth will bring up the highlights whilst leaving some oxide in the recesses, bringing out the design as the silver improves with age.

We were told this ring was Tibetan, but I assume it was the work of a Tibetan silversmith now living in Nepal.

Age: Contemporary.

Size:  L 42 mm x W 22 accross face. To fit a finger sized "S" (US 9.25)
