Nepalese Turquoise & Coral Ring

Sorry, this ring is no longer available. But you may want to check the other Neplalese rings we have.

Here's an extraordinary silver Nepalese ring, set with a central flat Red Coral amdist eleven radiating cones set with tiny Turquoises in mosaic.

Even the ends of these are filled in with mosaics of tiny Turquoises, as is the band around the finger.

This stone is traditionally worn throughout the Himalayas both for it's rich colour and for protection against  Evil and Misfortune.

I'm assuming this ring was made by Tibetan refugees working in Nepal but may also be Nepalese work, too.

Remember, Turquoise doesn't like being subjected to chemicals, cleaners or hot soapy water, all of these may affect the stones colour.

And extreme heat, like on a windowsill, can sometimes melt the "bituminous " resin used to hold the mosaic inlays...
