Pashtun, Woodblock & Silver Pendant.

Sorry this pendant is no longer available.

This dark little piece is a personal favourite, to be worn by someone who appreciates its subtleties and imperfections.
Set with an old, scratched glass, which has a stain or flaw inside the lower left.
Behind this is what looks like an old piece of floral “wood block” printed cotton, with a dark almost black on a creamy natural cotton.

All set diagonally and supported by two suspension rings (4 mm), and fringed around the base with eleven loop in loop"_ chain drops with rattly, hollow “foliage” embossed points.
These two rings wouls be best used with a thick cord or chain, but would also work with a thinnish silver choker, allowing for its curve.

The only touch of colour is the worn, faceted -"ruby"_ glass set in the lower centre, which has its moment when the light hits at the right angle.

This neutral pendant is in good condition for its age, having many tiny scratches and a dark smokey patina to the silver, indicating both age and long wear.

Age: Early/Mid 20th Century.

Size:H 102 mm x W 58 mm.

Weight: 44 grams.
