Rose Quartz "Rhoda Wager" Ring

Sorry, this ring is no longer available. However, we may still have a similar one.

This is a custom handmade sterling silver copy of an original 1942 ring, by the Australian Woman Designer, Rhoda Wager.

Known for her sinuous handmade "Arts & Crafts" designs, often incorporating Australian Native flowers and foliage, Rhoda Wager designs are now highly sort after and very collectable. (Our original is a favourite and very loved.)

Here I’ve taken our genuine (signed) Cherry Amber heirloom Rhoda Wager ring to Indonesia and had it hand copied, in Sterling Silver, setting it with a soft translucent pink, oval Rose Quartz "cabachon" (a semi translucent, everso slightly watery pastel pink. The stone isn't perfect, there are  some small flaws, part of its being natural I suppose.)

Each silver smiths’ work is slightly different, whilst different countries and their traditions can also vary from the original. (One year we had a challenge, and got them made in India and Indonesia to compare their interpretations. They differed, but each had its particular charm, although the Indian ones may have been closer, that time...)

Anyway this one has just arrived from my recent trip to Indonesia, where I found some superb stones for setting. Constructed with its flowers and vines on a double band, it's a different mood to all the plain "modern" and heavier cast designs we see today.

Being hand made it has a light refinement, on your finger you'll find it often admired, sometimes they'll want to see inside it (looking for the signature) it's up to you if you disillusion them.

We've just received a delivery from our Silver Smiths and have a variety of stones and sizes in these particular "Arts & Crafts" rings in our Greville Street Showroom now.
