Bhutanese, Turquoise & Coral Wristcuff

Sorry, this cuff is no longer available.
A heavily carved silver wristcuff set with rich deep green Antique Tibetan Turquoises and deep Red Corals.  These are my favourite Tibetan Turquoises in that deep milky green with fine black veins each highlighted with a fine white or turquoise edge.

The inside is plain and shiny for comfortable wear, with a fine engraving (chased and punched) of a dragon.

I know this piece isn't old but it has everything you'd want in a Bhutanese Carved Silver Wristcuff including heavily carved well detailed silver including auspicious Buddhist symbols Conch, Fan etc. and good quality Turquoise and rich Red Coral.

I've taken the liberty of polishing this piece as it isn't old enough to need to prove its age, and responds so well to a rub with a dry "Silver Polishing Cloth" picking out the highlights of the densely carved silver. There is one tiny knock on one of the shiny silver bosses, however these recesses will get darker and darker contrasting with the shiny raised surfaces, only adding to its richness.

This cuff obviously CANNOT be adjusted so DON'T even try.

(And the stones are traditionally set, which can mean using a bituminous resin, in normal wear this is both strong and secure, but can melt if the cuff is left in hot sun or on a window sill in extreme heat....)

The gap is 30 mm, so if you can work your relaxed wrist throught that gap and your wrist fits in this internal measure ( L64 mm x W 54 mm) you will be right. Just wrap a cord round your wrist and measure it to get an idea.

Whilst not an exact pair to this cuff, you might also be interested in TC122, TC123 and TC124, if they're still available.

Age: Contemporary.

Size: L 77 mm x W 79 mm x D 24 mm (Internal L 64 mm x W 51 mm, Gap 30 mm.)
