Kazak, Carnelian Asyk Pendant

Sorry, this item is currently on HOLD. However, if you want it yourself, then Email us (it may still become available.)

A smallish, rounded Kazak version of a Turkoman “asyk” (tongue or heart pendant) with a firegilt silver ground, decorated with applied silver borders and false granulation wedges, surrounding a raised flat oval Carnelian.
The wide 6 mm suspension hole would work with a solid silver choker.
As well as cords and chains. A good one for the smaller person, who feels that most of the Turkoman asyks are too big for them.
Not old, but it still has a lovely richness, as all the visible silver is detailed, not broadly shiny.

Age: Late 20th century.

Size: W 40 mm x H 60 mm

Weight: 12 grams
