Kazak, Gilt Silver and Carnelian Pendant
A smallish round, hollow silver boxlike pendant, the front a mild fire gilt, decorated with stamped silver borders and false granulation wedges, forming a sun, surrounding a central flat, round Carnelian.
The suspension ring is small 3 mm, suiting a wire choker, thin chain or cord.
Twisted wire dangles carry small, dull brown stone tubes.
Could of course be used as a centrepiece, in your own necklace, too.
Age: Late 20th century.
