Kazak, Rectangular Silver Pendant

Sorry, this stunning Pendant is no longer available.

Stunning, hollow rectangular, silver pendant of, as yet, uncertain origin. (I think it’s Kazak, as there is a very similar one in “World of Necklaces” on page 203.)
The centre is raised, with the whole surface covered in detailed borders of silver (stamped and filigree, even one in subtle stamped gilt.) all surrounding a central panel with 5 filigree “sun” motifs.
A very rich mix of dark patina and fine detail. This wonderful piece has, though, received a knock that has depressed the centre slightly, but only about 1 mm. It isn’t drastic, but as the piece is hollow, it has happened.
How you hang it, and lighting, could minimise this dent, as it can hang either way up! accross one top are 4 wide rings (4mm.) on the other top, are 3 more of these same rings.
Suiting a medium chain, or cord, not a choker. The reverse is plain and worn.
A really special one, it has an almost African feel, with a hint of Bukhara and Tajikistan.
Has been lightly polished to pick up the design, so you can let it go, then be gentle polishing.
(We’ve left the cotton on it.)
