Olam Turkoman, Silver Cuff

A long, dramatically embossed and engraved broad, plain silver Olam/Ersari cuff.
With central heavily decorated raised bands, punched and engraved abstract and floral scrolled patterns. Two solid points decide the width of the opening (25 mm almost an inch) so if you can wriggle through that gap, relax your hand, clenching tightens your tendons.
Some dive in lengthwise fingers first, with the thumb protruding. We’ve given this cuff a light polish bringing out the Miro like linework superbly.
Very impressive on. Now about it’s origins, “World of Bracelets” says this piece is Ersari Turkoman, “Splendour of Ethnic Jewellery” says Olam Turkoman. Hmmmm ? I’ll demer and say both, I think Olam is an Ersari subtribe, anyway.
