Tekke Turkoman, Triple Asyk

Sorry, this magnificent Asyk is no longer available, there may still be a similar one though.

Late 19th or early 20th century, Tekke Turkoman, fire gilt silver “Triple Heart” back pendant (asyk), with 19 eye shaped raised/rounded carnelians, in a variety of shades.
This, is a wonderful old piece, with a very deep patina and heavy oxidation, with just enough highlights visible (please don’t polish it, you’ll be removing the age.) a real pleasure to handle, with tiny signs of wear, but no repairs or damage.
These so called “hearts” are more likely points or spears, to defend against evil. Can be worn on a cord or a chain from the two top corner (4mm) rings, each connected with rings to a chain end, not threaded through.
Framed it would look like an Antique Ikon, which in a way it is, worn for protection against the “Evil Eye”, on a rich mans wifes back as part of her hair/braid decoration (ironically, usually under an embroidered ”chyrpy” cloak/coat! )
If you do decide to polish it for wearing, use a dry cloth to carefully remove excess silver oxide, which might rub onto clothing.
If you want more off, carefully use a dry Silver Polishing Cloth.
