Uzbek, "Gilt" Siver Earrings

Gilt silver “Uzbek style” earrings made by refugee Turkoman Silversmiths in Northern Afghanistan.
With small round dangling Garnets, oval Rose Quartz, “lapis” and “deep turquoise” coloured resins.

The gilt has a convincingly warm 22 ct glow to it, stamped/embossed suns and flowers are set upon the background, which is corrugated catching the light with every movement.

Whilst not all the stones are real, I consider these to be very wearable contemporary Tribal Costume Jewellery.

Perfect for sophisticated Belly Dancers, light with fine, colourful detail, but not too long for general wear.

The hook for the ear, is of a “normal” easily worn size.

For variations on this design, each slightly different, see also UE200, UE 204, UE205 & UE206, if they are still available.

Age: 21st Century.

Size: H 80 mm x W 32 mm.

Weight: 16 grams
